WINDS OF PLAGUE Lands Top 'Hard Music' Debut
February 13, 2008Los Angeles-based band WINDS OF PLAGUE has scored the top "hard music" debut this week with its new Century Media offering, "Decimate The Weak", which sold 3,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
"Decimate The Weak" was recorded with Daniel Castleman (AS I LAY DYING, A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE) and mixed by the legendary Tue Madsen (HIMSA, THE HAUNTED).
The group's savagely brutal track "The Impaler" has been posted online at this location.
Commented vocalist Johnny: "'Decimate the Weak' is the end result of many months of undying work and dedication. We feel this album will be a huge milestone for WINDS OF PLAGUE and it's just a small taste of what is to come.
"'The Impaler' is a personal favorite of mine. The song seems to have a very strong and violent energy from start to finish with an anthem of perseverance running through the lyrics."
